|
This study aims to see the effects of group therapy play program in the self esteem and emotional maladjustment behavior in children from divorce single parent families. Group therapy play program was carried out in 2 sessions of 50 minutes per week in a total of 12 sessions a week. control group and experimental group of children were drawn up. The effect of the program was verified and analyzed through using a scale for self esteem and emotional maladjustment behavior before and after the experiment and in the behavioral difference that was seen during the therapy process. It was seen in the result of the study that in the self esteem and emotional maladjustment scale that there was an important shift in the experimental group and that during the group therapy play program the subjects showed positive change more towards the end of the experiment as compared to the initial stages. Based on these results. the effect of group therapy play program was verified in that it increases the self esteem of children from divorce single parent families and decreased emotional maladjustment behavior.
